The double standard in our nation’s justice system makes me sick.
If you are rich, you can steal or worse and walk away with a slap on the wrist. If you are an average person and commit the same crime, you are sure to spend time in prison. Why is it that Winona Ryder was able to steal more than $5,000 in merchandise and will probably get away with community service and probation? Maybe we should all go shoplifting and see how many of us get the same sentence.
