Howard G. Baker, veteran of the United Staes Army WWII, stationed in England and was on the shores of Normandy handling supplies. Mr. Baker was at the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes. Mr. Baker received five bronze stars. Beloved husband of the late Lois Baker; loving father of Nancy; dear brother of the late Virginia (the late William) Acosta; fond uncle of Sandy and Bill Acosta. Visitation Saturday, Nov. 16, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the John E. Mahoney Funeral Home, 1359 W. Devon Avenue, Chicago. Graveside service and interment will be held on Sunday, Nov. 17, 11 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Rd., Skokie (meet inside entrance near main office). Funeral info: 773-764-1617
