The Oriental Institute Museum will present two episodes from the PBS series “Out of the Fiery Furnace,” which explores the discovery of metal resources and how they were used. “From Stone to Bronze” highlights bronze, the first high-tech metal of ancient times. “From Swords to Ploughshares” chronicles the transition from bronze to iron and illustrates how this influenced human history. Free gallery tours will follow the screenings.
