Tampa Bay forward Dave Andreychuk set an NHL record by scoring his 250th career power-play goal Friday night in the Lightning’s game against San Jose.
The left wing set the mark at 9:43 of the first period when he redirected a pass from Brad Richards past Sharks goalie Evgeni Nabokov.
Andreychuk was tied for the record with Phil Esposito, a radio broadcaster for the Lightning, who was watching from the press box when the goal was scored.
Andreychuk needs one more goal to become the 14th NHL player to reach 600.

Modano helped set up a goal by Ulf Dahlen that put Dallas ahead 2-1 midway through the opening period. Modano is the fifth U.S.-born player to reach the milestone and the 64th overall.
