How sad. Our citizens go hungry. Our citizens go uneducated. Our citizens go without work. Yet, as I watched the election coverage, I heard of millions after millions after millions of dollars poured into campaigns of Republicans, Democrats, Independents.
Maybe our old mother country England had it right after all. Give each candidate a set amount of funds, a set timeframe in which campaigning is legal and thus let each candidate have a chance fair and square. Maybe even distribute the leftover funds to health, education and welfare?
