Police said they will spend about $1,700 from a $16,000 U.S. Department of Justice grant to fund 40 hours of extra traffic enforcement between Nov. 25 and Dec. 8. Officers will be paid overtime primarily to enforce seat belt and drunken-driving laws, said Assistant Police Chief Steve Casstevens.
