Lyman Phillip McAfee, Nov. 18, 2002. Born Oct. 8, 1926 in Chicago, IL. Son of Vernon W. and Margaret McAfee. He is survived by his wife, Peggie; daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Marc Berliant of Rochester; son and daughter-in-law, John and Fay McAfee of MT; brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Dorothy McAfee of FL; grandchildren, Matthew Berliant, Katharine and Aaron Nowlan, Anne and James Sturrup, Emily Berliant, Kyle, Dillon and Lee McAfee; great-granddaughter, Maggi Nowlan; nieces, Janet Wehrli and Carol Miller; nephews, Tom and Jim McAfee. Lyman grew up in Park Ridge, IL, and upon his retirement moved to Asheville, NC, to enjoy his favorite pastime of golf. Memorial visitation Saturday at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy., Park Ridge, IL, 12 to 2 p.m. Memorial service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lyman may be directed to St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT, 59004.
