When will Division I-A college football realize that the Bowl Championship Series is a sham? When the money runs out is my guess. Meanwhile, college football fans have to suffer the ill effects of more computers and polls determining the I-A champion.
Give the fans what they want and Division I-A college football what it needs: a 16-team playoff system. The excitement this format would provide would easily match, if not exceed, the thrills March Madness brings us at the conclusion of each college basketball season.
