Michael C. Billstrand, age 15, of Lansing, IL, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2002. He is survived by his parents, Charles and Christine Billstrand; brother Nicholas and sister Olivia; maternal grandparents, Mary and Bob Schurke; paternal grandparents, Robert and Jean Billstrand; aunts and uncles, Valarie McHugh, Lisa and John Leopardo, John and Laurie Billstrand and Jim and Barbara Billstrand; also survived by numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at 10 a.m. from the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL to St. Ann’s Church for 10:30 Mass. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. Michael was an avid athlete having played on the Lansing Lions football team and Babe Ruth baseball. He was a member of the T. F. South High School football, basketball and baseball teams. He also was a Times newspaper carrier. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Michael’s memory.
