Irene Ward, nee Drew, 95, passed away at Schmitt Woodland Hills Retirement Center in Richland Center, WI on Nov. 22, 2002. Irene lived most of her life in South Chicago where she attended St. Bride’s Elementary School and Bowen High School. She worked as a secretary for General Motors before marrying Frank J. Ward Sr. on Jan. 22, 1943. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, all 10 brothers and sisters and many other relatives and friends. She is survived by a son, Frank J. (Juliana) Ward Jr. of Richland Center, WI; a daughter, Jeanne (Ron) Myscofski of Lombard, IL; four grandchildren, Jeff (Susan) Ward, Dana (Mike) DeBoer, Andy Myscofski and Kerry Myscofski; nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends. Irene was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church all her life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Lombard, IL with burial in the Union Mills Cemetery in Union Mills, IN. Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 25, 2002 at the Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook, IL from 4 to 9 p.m. Arrangements by Stafford Funeral Home, 608-647-8148
