Jack Winston Graves, 74, died Sunday, November 24, 2002, at an Asheville hospital. He had lived in Asheville, NC since 1989, having relocated from Flossmoor, IL. Mr. Graves served in the U.S. Army in Korea as a medic. He retired from Illinois Central Gulf Railroad as an accounting director. He is survived by his wife, Meg Palmquist Graves of the home; children, Steve Graves of Bolingbrook, IL, Carol Yocius of Fox River Grove, IL, Cheryl Hansen of Tinley Park, IL, Linda Graczyk of Worth, IL, John Graves of Elk Grove Village, IL and James Graves of Gillespie, IL; sisters, Charlotte Spotts of East Dennis, MA and Phoebe Mitchum of Erin, TN; ten grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Funeral services 2 p.m. Wednesday at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, Fairview, NC. Interment Lewis Memorial Park, Asheville, NC. Williams Funeral Service, Asheville, NC is assisting the family.
