Leonard David Friedman MD, kindly and caring physician and surgeon, passed away on Nov. 27, 2002 and was preceded in death very recently by his lovely and adoring wife and life partner of 70 years Ricky, nee Rotman. He is the loving father of Joyce Diane; dear brother of the late Norton (Frances); devoted brother-in-law of Morry (Sylvia) Rotman and the late Sam (Frances) Rotman; devoted uncle of Marilyn Friedman, Judy (Brian) Salmonson, Jesse (Diana) Rotman, Betty Rotman, Richard (Gloria) Rotman, Lynn (Tom) Ansfield, Judy Rotman (Barbara Gunning), Joyce (Kurt) Brengle and Marietta (John) Torres; dear cousin of Dr. Charles (Kati) Samet, Charlotte (Marvin) Meyers, Sherman (Sherry) Neuman, Marcia Brainin and Andi Lieberman; special friend of Rina, Jon, David and A.C. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army during WWII. As a physician and surgeon his Hospital appointments were at St. Anthony’s (1940-1988) and at Columbus (1975-1994). Funeral services Friday 1 p.m. at The Weinstein Family Services Wilmette Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd. (1 block No. of Old Orchard). Interment Westlawn Cemetery, Chicago.
