Filmmaker Adrian Belic will attend the screening of “Genghis Blues,” the Oscar-nominated documentary he co-directed with brother Roko Belic. At the event, he will talk about the challenges of making “Blues,” which chronicles the experience of a blind American bluesman who visited Tuva, between Siberia and Mongolia, where he won a competition in the country’s ancient art of throat singing. Belic will also discuss his current project, “Knightsbridge,” which follows the adventures of two former paratroopers who deliver food and medicine to some of the world’s most dangerous areas.
“Genghis Blues,” 6 p.m. Wednesday, Michael Rabinger Center for Documentary of Columbia College Chicago, 1104 S. Wabash Ave., Suite 302, free; 312-344-6733.
