Nellie M. Olson, age 101, loving wife of the late C.E. ‘Pete’ Petersen and the late Paul A. Olson; beloved stepmother of Connie (Doug) Connell; devoted sister of Abbie Nelson, and several other brothers and sisters; cherished aunt of Rev. Dr. Gale (Mildred) Schafer, Ken (Virginia) Schafer, and the late Juanita Hoephner; and step-grandmother of three. Graveside services were held at Concordia Cemetery, Forest Park. A memorial service at a later date will be held at The Homestead in Batavia. Memorials may be made to The First Lutheran Church in Monmouth, Il.
