Illinois receiver Brandon Lloyd will skip his senior season and enter the NFL draft.
Lloyd, who made the announcement Thursday at a news conference, finishes his career at Illinois second in yards receiving (2,583) and touchdown catches (21). He is third all-time in receptions.
“I feel like I’ve accomplished all I can here,” Lloyd said. “The goals I set for myself–All-Big Ten, 1,000-yard season, win a Big Ten championship–I’ve reached.”
The 6-foot-2 Lloyd was an honorable mention selection to the All-Big Ten team as selected by league coaches. He had 65 receptions for 1,010 yards and nine touchdowns this season.
