Ironic is how I describe moving from the gas-guzzlers of the ’70s to fuel-injected, efficient cars of the ’90s and now back to gas-guzzling SUVs. I think there should be an urban assault vehicle in every garage–what can be more enviable than the conspicuous consumption of cash on such a non-essential.
