Charles Kovar, 82, beloved husband of Shirley, nee Sundquist; loving father to Kenneth (Teresa) Kovar and Susan (Larry) Bultman; fond grandfather to Alex and Sophie Kovar, Keri and Eric Bultman; dear brother to Marge Kostal and Wally Kovar; brother-in-law to Nanette Caldwell; many nieces, nephews and friends. Charles worked at Boyer Electric for 37 years prior to his retirement. He was a Veteran and served in the U.S. Navy. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003 at 1 p.m. in St. Laurence Catholic Church, corner of Jewett and Standish St., Elgin, with Rev. Joseph F. Kulak officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of Services in the church. Omission of flowers is requested, with memorials made to Fr. Jim Close, Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, 1140 W.
