Outfielder Brian Jordan told the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday he was rescinding his trade demand. He said he made the decision after watching the deals made by general manager Dan Evans, especially the signing of Fred McGriff.
As a player traded during a multiyear contract, Jordan was allowed to file a trade demand within 15 days of the World Series. If the Dodgers didn’t deal the 35-year-old outfielder by March 15, he would have become a free agent.
– Brad Fullmer agreed to a $1 million, one-year contract with the Anaheim Angels, who allowed him to become a free agent last month. He hit .289 with 19 homers and 49 RBIs in 130 games last season.
