Reading “The nuclear genie” (Editorial, Dec. 28), an editorial about the alleged dangers that the nuclear wannabes pose to the peace and security of the contemporary world, and the need for “a vigorous global alliance will be required to keep proliferation in check,” I couldn’t help but wonder the following: Does the Chicago Tribune’s editorial staff have any clue which of the 190 or so states in the world today is the most gluttonous, ruthless, rapacious, militaristic and nuclear-weaponized–not to mention the most prone to threatening and using violence, whether economic sanctions, bribery and other forms of intimidation, state-sponsored terrorism and aggression outright?
An interesting question indeed.
