I empathize with Lynn Greenbaum’s distress over her children’s exposure to photos of dead fetuses at a recent pro-life demonstration in front of Lutheran General Hospital (“Shameful protest,” Voice of the people, Jan. 7). I disagree, however, with her characterization of these photos as “shameful.” Photos of aborted fetuses are repulsive; the procedure that makes possible these photos is shameful. It is tragic that our children are growing up in a society that not only allows such a procedure but attempts to ennoble it.
