Now it gets real for DePaul.
On Wednesday there’s a trip to No. 15 Louisville, and on Saturday another to No. 21 Marquette.
That made Sunday’s Conference USA matinee with East Carolina little more than a warmup act, and they dominated it with defense while running off to a 55-42 victory.
That left DePaul (10-4, 2-1 C-USA) with more wins than it managed all of last season and sent it off with a two-game winning streak and at least a modicum of momentum.
“This was a big win going into the road games coming up,” Blue Demons guard Marlon Brooks said. “We wanted to be on a high note instead of a low note.”
