Fred Engel, age 68, died January, 22, 2003 at home. He was born July, 21, 1934 in Chicago. The son of Henry and Hermina nee Yaeger Engel; Fond husband of Lorraine nee Reschke; dear father of Fred (Juliana) Engel, Tom (Laura) Engel, Beth (Joe) Pollock and Cindy Tobie; grandfather of Ryan, Amanda, Mitchell, Vincent, Clayton, Courtney, Josh, Shawn and Rachel; dear brother of Ernie (Helen), Hank (LaVerne), Dave (Marilyn), Herm Vollmer; preceded in death by his parents, one brother Alex, one sister Dorothy Kieppel and three infant sisters. Fred worked 44 years for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad, retiring in 1995. He loved woodworking, fishing and being a Bears fan. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January, 25, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Matthew Luthern Church (Old McHenry Rd.) in Lake Zurich. IL.
