I know it’s right after Christmas, but if you have $150 to spend, might I suggest looking into a CD-ROM titled “The Best of Fine Woodworking,” which is a 27-year compilation of the magazine’s woodworking expertise.
The information, in an Adobe Acrobat format, is easy to use, and includes the same drawings that accompanied the original articles.
If you prefer to keep 27 years of magazines instead, it has a lot of information on building storage.
This CD-ROM and the one that offers 21 years of Fine Homebuilding’s archived articles come with a year of free unlimited access to the online archives at the magazines’ Web sites.
The Fine Homebuilding CD-ROM also costs $150.
If you think that’s pricey, consider that individual online articles sell for $3.50 each, or in packages of five for $12.50 and 10 for $19.50.
