Jeff Daniels plays Fred Barlow, a down-on-his-luck door-to-door vacuum salesman in a losing battle with archrival Winslow Schnaebelt (Harve Presnell). Things finally start looking up when Barlow comes home to find his wife, Bunny (Michelle Mountain), pleasuring herself with her homemaker’s little helper, a discontinued Super Sucker vacuum attachment. Barlow makes vacuum sales history hawking the retrofitted appliance-until he gets shut down by the Americans Against the Sexual Abuse of Home Appliances. In between are many satisfied housewives and a whole lotta sexual innuendo–neither of which is remotely funny. R.
