Eminem is moving on up–and out to the ‘burbs.
The Detroit rapper, who mocks ritzy Oakland County, Mich., in his recent movie, “8 Mile,” is close to a deal to buy palatial digs in … what do you know, Oakland County.
The 6-acre estate, owned by former Kmart Corp. CEO Chuck Conaway, comes with a spa, entertainment cabana and guest house. And it’s a looooong way from 8 Mile Road.
Listed at $5.85 million last year, the home has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms (quite appropriate for the world’s pre-eminent potty mouth), and state-of-the-art electronics and lighting systems.
The price Eminem has agreed to pay was not revealed. And with Kmart’s recent troubles, RedEye wonders if the rapper will score a Blue Light Special.
