Manager Dusty Baker says he won’t make any real evaluations of his pitchers for a few more weeks.
Cactus League play begins Thursday and, for Baker, winning games will take a back seat to learning about his staff.
“Basically, you sort of save [evaluations] for later in the spring, when the regulars start playing longer, when the pitchers start getting their breaking balls over and get in tight situations,” Baker said.
