I needed replacement carpeting for seven stairs and an upstairs hall. I took the measurements and a drawing to a carpet store.
The salesman did not seem to understand the measurements or the drawing. Finally, the salesman asked, “These stairs–do they go up?”
“Yes,” I answered, “and they go down.”
I went elsewhere for the carpeting.
