David R. Blakely, age 47, of Bartlett, account manager for Owens & Minor, Waunakee, WI. Husband and friend of Cindy, nee Hill; loving father of Darren and Casey; devoted son of Bertha; dear brother of Janet Rushing, Alfred Jr., Alice, Faye (Donald) Washington, Connie and the late Ronald (Gloria), Dennis and Linda Buchanan; cherished uncle of many. David will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family will receive condolences Sunday 2 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2:30 p.m. at The Chapel, 195 N. David was an avid sportsman, he was a former Univ. of IL Champaign Urbana football player (1974-1978), former Assistant Football Coach for the Bartlett Raiders (1994-1996), and his daughter’s track and field mentor as well as a mentor to numerous other children in the Bartlett area.
