Bootleg versions of “The Matrix Reloaded” already have hit the streets of China–or have they?
The DVD of the sci-fi sequel has popped up in Shanghai, complete with stylish cover art and a cast list starring Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne. But the disc inside is that all-time classic “Johnny Mnemonic.”
Other than casting Reeves in a futuristic setting, “Mnemonic” shares little in common with “Matrix”–although some “Mnemonic” viewers have felt like they awakened to a nightmare reality.
Now for a more pleasant surprise. Reeves recently gave away a dozen Harley-Davidson motorcycles to members of the “Reloaded” stunt crew. The shiny new hogs were delivered to the set as thanks for their work on the Burly Brawl, a key fight scene.
