The Nets are feeling better after surviving another muddy effort for a 77-76 victory over San Antonio at Continental Airlines Arena. The series is tied 2-2 with Game 5 in New Jersey on Friday.
“We never panicked,” said Jason Kidd, who hit four free throws down the stretch and finished with 16 points, nine assists and eight rebounds. “K-Mart [Kenyon Martin–20 points and 13 rebounds] was huge for us. It was two teams slugging it out defensively, and we were fortunate to get a win.”
Tim Duncan had 23 points and 17 rebounds for the Spurs.
