As a spiritual follower of Indian guru Sri Chinmoy, Asharita Furman lives a simple life in New York, with few possessions. But, there is something unorthodox about his path to spiritual enlightenment. While most of us are breaking commandments, Furman is breaking world records.

He has set or broken 78 Guinness records, including somersaulting the route of Paul Revere’s midnight ride and juggling under water. Furman hopes to set more records to beat a Russian weight lifter, who holds 80 records.

This week, Furman practiced for the record of “most beer glasses balanced on a chin.”
