John Morton Wolfe, 74, of Winnetka, a former account executive for Chicago advertising agencies Earle Ludgin and Co. and Arthur E. Wilk Advertising, died Thursday, June 12, of a heart attack in Evanston Hospital. “He was a very kind and thoughtful man, who was very proud of his family,” said his daughter, Nancy Johnson. Mr. Wolfe earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri in 1949 and worked in advertising for most of his career, she added. The former Army veteran, who served time in Korea, was an avid curler and member of the Chicago Curling Club. “He loved curling and playing bridge,” his daughter said. He spent a lot of his time in the summer at a second home in Epworth Heights, Mich. Besides his daughter, survivors include his wife of 50 years, Doris; two sons, John and Stephen; and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Church of the Holy Comforter, 222 Kenilworth Ave., Kenilworth.
