The Village Board has approved the final phase of the town home portion of Silverstone Lake, a 944-unit development on a former gravel quarry at Illinois Highway 25 and Bolz Road.
Elgin developer Centex Homes plans to add 103 townhouses in 20 buildings on the 60-acre site.
The townhouses would have 1,300 to 1,600 square feet of living space, two or three bedrooms, 1.5 to 2.5 bathrooms and two-car garages. Prices would start at $150,000.
Board members requested the developer be required to complete a sanitary sewer system before building permits are issued.
