The people at the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago recently analyzed the different flavors of Listerine PocketPacks, on the company’s dime. In case you’re wondering what your choice of oral-care strip says about you, here’s the word of mouth from the foundation:
– Spearmint. You’re a powerful, take-charge person who dresses immaculately.
– Peppermint. You’re creative, like computers and are probably a sports fan. Also, you prefer your “own space.” (In that case, skip the oral-care strips.)
– Cinnamon. You’re stylish, flirtatious and provocative and love new adventures.
– Bubblegum flavor: You’re a self-confident, goal-oriented doer. And you wish you could be 12 again. (OK, we added that one.)
– Fruit flavor. You like to make others happy, are a true-blue pal and tend to be a homebody. (So why bother with a breath strip if you aren’t going anywhere?)
“Flavor preferences and personality traits develop at the same time–during the first seven years of life,” says the foundation’s neurological director, Dr. Alan R. Hirsch.
In that case, a glue- or mud-pie-flavored strip might make some people very happy.
