Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

It was comforting–and yet disturbing–to read your column (“Note to self: Plan to stop planning,” by Alison Neumer, July 15) and recognize that I wasn’t alone in the constant planning, scheduling and rescheduling of get-togethers with friends and family. My girlfriends and I usually reserve one Saturday a year in Chicago for a few hours on the beach, and, sadly, for the first time we couldn’t even get this together because of other commitments that we have every single weekend.
