Randall Morris Johnson, 62, noted educator and prominent musician died suddenly on Friday, July 11, 2003 in Northwestern Hospital, Chicago. Mr. Johnson served as Chairman of the Biology Department, Dean of Arts and Sciences, and Dean of Instruction at KennedyKing College, as well as Dean of Career Programs at Malcolm X College. He retired in 2000. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2003, in St. John Church-Baptist, 4821 S. Michigan Ave. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., the funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., with interment in Burr Oak Cemetery. Mr. Johnson’s body will lie in state for viewing in Unity Funeral Parlors, Inc., 4114 S. Michigan Ave., Friday, July 18, 2003 from 2 until 9 p.m. He is survived by his devoted wife Marva; and two children Terri Allicia and Christopher Leonard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. John Church-Baptist Performing Arts Center, 4821 S.
