Call them the braparazzi.
The people at Brastraps.com are on a mission to expose unsightly displays of bra straps–not all displays are bad, to judge from the Web site–and get those straps under wraps, or at least get them to match the clothing they accompany.
The Miami-based company recently invited women to mail in a set of old bra straps. The first 500 will receive a new set of clear bra straps. After that, the site might offer coupons.
“We’re trying to head off a potential epidemic here,” CEO and founder Margarita Reis said in a statement. “Too many women just don’t know that there are options for visible bra straps that [don’t] clash with their outfits.”
The free straps are made from PVC plastic and silicone with metal hooks.
Women who don’t own a bra with removable straps can go to the Web site for a quick conversion guide (www.brastraps.com/convertbra.htm).
