Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Remember all the thought you put into making that perfect mix tape for a party, a road trip or (sniff!) a breakup? Just because the world’s moved on to MP3s and mix CDs, it doesn’t mean it’s any easier.

Not to worry. Tiny Mix Tapes is here. (www.tinymixtapes.com/features/amg.phtml).

Give them a theme and they’ll suggest a song list. Apparently the theme can be anything. Some examples:

– “Songs to quit a crappy job to”

– “Moving to a city you can’t stand”

And our favorite:

– “Songs that could be played while you and a friend, handcuffed, are escorted into the backseat of a police vehicle on a country road at 3 a.m., in slow motion, looking back at another friend, wrapped in a blanket, eyes filled with tears, falling to his knees, next to your car, trunk open.”

The first song on that list is Mazzy Star’s “Fade into You.”
