Blame it on the burrito.
That’s what a Nebraska man did when he was accused of violating his work-release program because he had alcohol on his breath.
William Dolge, 45, said it was the beer-and-tequila marinated meat in his lunch that caused his breath to smell like booze when he returned to jail from his job last month.
A judge agreed with Dolge, saying the burrito recipe–which included one bottle of red Irish beer, 1 1/2 cups of tequila and three-quarters of a bottle of dark ale–packed a punch and could easily set off an alcohol alarm. He also recommended that Dolge indulge in “less potent fare” on his next trip out of jail.
