Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
Chris Rock is no old fart.
That’s why the comedian says he’s turned down two offers to host the Oscars, the World Entertainment News Network reports.
“You do the Oscars when you’re old,” he says. (He’s 37, by the way.) “As far as staying relevant to people, it does me more good to stand with 50 Cent than to be on stage with Sophia Loren. There’s nowhere to go from there. You should just retire and play afternoon shows at Lake Tahoe.”
Instead, Rock hosts the MTV Video Music Awards, which air Aug. 28. He also has signed up to star in “Sick Day,” a comedy about a working man’s day off gone horribly wrong.
