Community Bank officials have submitted plans for a 3,338-square-foot bank and drive-up facility at the northwest corner of Childs Street and County Farm Road.

The bank would raze a house and detached garage and build on the east portion of the 1.56-acre site. The westernmost part of the property contains wetlands and would remain undeveloped, said Wheaton’s staff planner, Brad Boese.

Community Bank will consider the new facility a branch to its main Wheaton bank facility in downtown Wheaton. Community Bank also has a branch on Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn.

The Planning and Zoning Board will vote Tuesday on a recommendation to the City Council. The council likely would vote on the plan in October.
