An Islamic Army chaplain who counseled Al Qaeda prisoners at Guantanamo naval base in Cuba has been detained, officials said Saturday.
Capt. James Yee was arrested in Jacksonville and has been confined since Sept. 10 but has not been charged, spokesman Capt. Thomas Crosson said.
A senior law-enforcement official said FBI agents took classified papers off Yee before handing him to the military.
