Watching a Yankees-Marlins World Series isn’t going to be easy for Cubs fans. But if there’s an upside to this torturous tournament, it’s that bars and restaurants are slashing their prices to attract crowds to a Cubs-less World Series. Here are some top spots to cash in on food and drink deals during the games.

P.J. Clarke’s

Feeling like you paid too much for your scalped playoff ticket? Well, it’s worth more than sentimental value at both P.J. Clarke’s locations. Come in during the World Series, show a ticket stub from one of the Cubs’ playoff games and get a plate of three 2-ounce cheeseburgers served on mini-buns and garnished with pickles. 1204 N. State St. 312-664-1650 and 302 E. Illinois St. 312-670-7500.

Dunlays on Clark

While Lincoln Parkers swarm around the two TVs in this restaurant’s bar area, there’s a good chance that you can grab a seat (and a view of the game) in the dining room. Another perk: You won’t spend a ton of cash here to make it through nine innings. Start off with a pick (or several) from the half-price appetizer menu, featuring everything from sashimi tuna to beer cheese. Then wash it down with a cheap brew. Every bottled and draft beer is $2, including Guinness, Sierra Nevada and Summit Hefe Weizen. 2600 N. Clark St. 773-883-6000.

Blue Bayou

The New Orleans-themed bar and restaurant by the folks behind Cullen’s is offering some steamy deals. Get half-price Blue Bayou margaritas made with Sauza tequila (normally $6.50), half-price draft beers (options include Hacker-Pschorr Weisse, Guinness and Blue Moon, normally $4-$5) and half-price Blue Bayou burgers (normally $8.25). 3734 N. Southport Ave. 773-871-3300.

Crush

As if RedEye readers weren’t getting enough for their 25 cents already, mention RedEye or metromix during the World Series at this new sports lounge and get a free appetizer and half off your food order. Reading does have its rewards. 2843 N. Halsted St. 773-528-7569.

Wabash Tap

You’ll have no problem catching the game at this South Loop after-work spot. In addition to the bar’s handful of TVs, there’s an 8-foot screen that’ll show every World Series game. Take your pick of any of the grill’s four sandwiches–cheeseburger, Philly cheesesteak, Italian sausage and chicken–and wash it down with the bar’s game-day special: $2 domestic drafts. 1233 S. Wabash Ave. 312-360-9488.
