A body was found in United Nations headquarters Monday, a UN spokesman said. UN security and New York police were investigating.
The UN spokesman said the person had been shot, and that the body was discovered inside the building’s third-floor lounge about 11:30 a.m. He declined to give any details on the dead person pending notification of the family.
The spokesman termed the shooting an “isolated incident.”
