Daniel Thomas Daley, 51, of Evanston, social worker and ASL instructor, passed away Dec. 7, 2003 at home following a brief illness, beloved husband of Beverly Otey; cherished father of Tim Daley of Vero Beach, FL and Melissa (Luke) Arduini of Oak Lawn, IL; loving stepfather of Joshua Will; proud Grandpa Dan of Calvin and Jacob Arduini; baby brother of Eileen Holderbaum, Dennis (Chris) Daley, William Daley and Gina Purpura; preceded in death by parents, Robert Daley and Joan and Ray Purpura. Dan will be missed terribly by his in-laws, Harold and Neva Otey of Oblong, IL and their children, Diana (Paul) Smith, Brenda (David) Richart and Gary Otey; dear Uncle Danny to many nieces and nephews. An advocate for Deaf Issues and Rights, Dan attended Gaulladet University, worked for Thresholds Services in their vocational and residential programs and then more recently for Anixter Center’s Vocational Program and also served as Manager of Transportation Services. Memorial Service Saturday, Dec. 13, 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1530 Hinman Ave., Evanston, 847-864-6181.
