Beth E. Brodne, 61, of Montpelier, Vermont, died December 9, 2003, while visiting her family in IL. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2003, at Zuma Cemetery, Port Byron, IL. The family asks that donations be made to Beth’s Fund% Vermont Society of Mayflower Descendants, Attn: Bonnie Bartlett, 921 Shore Acres Dr., Colchester, Vermont 05446. Ms. Brodne was born January 8, 1942, in Oak Park, IL, the daughter of Frank and Doris (Cox) Zabilka and a descendant of some of the first families in New England. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Jane Maloney, Canaan, New Hampshire; one son, William Karl Brodne, Evanston, IL; and four grandchildren, Amanda, Sean, Rebecca and Abigail.
