Peter E. Marino, age 78, of Medinah, passed away on Dec. 10. Peter was the beloved husband of Eileen for 58 years. They met each other at the age of six while growing up together in Hillside. They married in 1945 and moved to the Medinah community. Peter was a very loved and devoted member of the Hillside, Medinah and the surrounding communities. Peter was a loving and wonderful father to 10 sons and two daughters; eight daughters-in-law and two sons-in-law, Perry, Tom, Terry (Debbie), Timothy (Nancy), Bob (Rachael), Pat (Susan), Eileen (Daniel) Gianneschi, Kevin (Laurene), Keith (Susan), Brian (Kelly), Michael (Kim) and Michelle (Don) Tieri; Peter was also blessed with 34 grandchildren and was soon to be a great-grandfather, Debbie (Aaron) Goldberg, Jessica, Michael, Tim, Melissa, Peter, Kathleen, Maggie, Samantha, Josephine, Rory, Ryan, Mark, Andrea, Josh, Mallorie, Zachary, Jenna, Angelina, Christina, Patrick, Jordan, Brad, Anneliese, Alex, Reilly, Megan, Nicholas, Finn, Celia, Gunnar, Donnie, Nicholas and Christopher; Peter was the son of the late Pietro Ercole and Carmella Marino of Hillside; and was a loving brother and uncle. Visitation will be held on Friday 3 to 9 p.m. at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Rd. (at Prospect), Itasca. Funeral Saturday at St. Peter the Apostle Church. Mass 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. Memorials may be made to The Association of the Miraculous Medal, 1811 W.
