Did I miss the apology from the Tribune for endorsing George Ryan for governor over Glenn Poshard in 1998? The emerging allegations of licenses for bribes and the connection to the Willis tragedy were dismissed as rumors and without credence. How ironic that these charges come on the heels of the death of Paul Simon, a truly decent and honorable man who served Illinois so well.
