This is regarding “Wright replica belly-flops into a puddle at rainy fete; Wind too slow for centennial flight” (News, Dec. 18). The attempt to re-enact the Wright brothers’ first flight was not a failure. Rather it unexpectedly showed just how remarkable was the achievement of the Wright brothers on that morning of Dec. 17, 1903.
