Jason Vines has been named vice president of communications for the Chrysler Group, the U.S. unit of DaimlerChrysler. Vines, 43, held several public relations positions with Chrysler from 1983 to 1998 before becoming the head of public relations for Nissan North America and vice president of communications for Ford Motor Co. He succeeds Kenneth Levy, who left Chrysler to start his own company.
